About National Veterans Council

The National Veterans Council for Legal Redress (NVCLR) is a 501(c)(3)organization in service to Veterans in Connecticut. Our membership is comprised of men and women from the New Haven County. NVCLR is well-known in New Haven County and in the State of Connecticut for serving Veterans with other than honorable discharge status and as the founders of the Veterans Memorial Monument on the Long Wharf in New Haven. In addition, the NVCLR vision is to offer a combination of care, independent and dependent living in a thriving community, significantly improving the quality of care and mental health of veterans. Many that seek assistance are men and women who are impoverished, who have served in the military or are caregivers of those who have served. We support the effort to provide affordable housing for veterans, elderly, disabled and the homeless.
